tuesday

It's been a while since I've written here. I've been writing more on my yoga blog, so you can keep up with me there if you'd like.

Keith and I have a had a great day together. We walked to Cloud Seven Cafe this morning after I taught my first class and had coffee and bagels outside. It was really nice. We had been wanting to try that place for a while, and I give it a definite A+. I had a sesame bagel with cream cheese and one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tasted. Pretty delightful. After that we went for a run around the waterfront. Also delightful, but in a different way. It was really beautiful, but quite the challenge for me. We started running as soon as we left our apartment and pretty much didn't stop until we crossed the Hawthorne Bridge. My guess is that it was 3-4 miles. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but I am not much of a runner. I enjoy it, but when it's warm (borderline hot) and sunny I find it to be pretty difficult. Not only that, but I haven't been doing much running since I got home from Virginia because I'm been focusing so much on yoga. I came home after the run and made a delicious smoothie (tomatoes, zucchini, yogurt, rice milk, spinach, collard greens, apple, strawberries, banana and avocado), but Keith went straight to the gym to lift weights for an hour. He's a trooper. He's also faster than me, so it was tough to keep up! But inspiring, nonetheless.

I'm teaching a sunset flow class in Julia's backyard tonight and I'm really looking forward to it. We've invited a bunch of people in hopes that we can wrangle together about 8-10 people. I love yoga! And sunsets. What could be better?
