yoga leggings

I took a yoga class tonight at Lululemon and it was free! It was rock and roll yoga, so we listened to fun music. Jill Allen was the teacher, and I met her when I first came to visit Portland. I was walking back to the apartment after walking Keith to work, and decided to pop into this yoga studio and check it out. They were about to have a class, so I took it. It was heated vinyasa, and Jill was the teacher. It was a great class, and that yoga class actually solidified my decision to move to Portland. So anyway, I walked into Lululemon tonight, all hot and sweaty, fresh from a jog, and Jill says, "Hi! I've met you before...". Amazing! That was 8 months ago. So anyway, it was a great class. She will be teaching every Thursday night in July for free, so hopefully I can attend the next two classes.

Last night I taught a class in Tualatin and it was great. Sometimes I really feel like I get high off yoga. Nothing makes me happier than teaching or taking a great class. Nothing! There was a woman who was sitting on her hip in pigeon (happens often), and I went to correct her and she said she couldn't do it and that's why she was sitting on her hip. So I explained to her what she needed to do in order to properly experience the pose and all of its benefits, and I lightly guided her with my hands to where she needed to go, and her face lit up like a Christmas tree. She definitely learned something in class, and she learned it from me, and that makes me feel awesome. It's so cool to think that she didn't think she could do it before I took 30 seconds to help her.

I have to teach yoga in the morning, then work for a few hours, then go help out at the auditions for The Corners. For more information on The Corners, check out http://thecornersfilm.blogspot.com. It's Keith's first feature film.

xoxo,
