Oh my gosh. This weather is so depressing. I am so sick of rain! It is really affecting my mood. I just checked the 10 day forecast, and they're calling for rain every single day. For the next 10 days. I can't take this! I am listening to Beirut in my dark living room, drinking coffee at 5 pm, and thinking about what my yoga playlist will be tonight. My body and mind are both craving sun right now. I just hope the weather is nice when Miss Stormy is here. In case, I didn't already mention it on here, she will be here from June 18-June 27 and I am over the moon! I have lots of things planned for us. Let me start a new paragraph and tell you all about it...
I definitely plan to take her to the coast. A woman came into my store the other day and we chatted for a while about the coast and she told me she lived in Manzanita and owned an ocean front wine bar. I'd never heard of that town, but she said it's only 15 minutes from Cannon Beach. Unfortunately, Stormy is only 15 and is not allowed in the wine bar. She did tell me to pop in and say hello and check the place out, so I think I will. Her name was Dixie and I liked her. Sounds like it may be a good place to go with Ben and Dana when they come to visit in July, if the four of us can make it to the coast together. So the day we go to the coast, Stormy and I will visit Cannon Beach, Indian Beach, Ecola State Park and Manzanita. We'll spend the whole day there and have lunch at Mo's overlooking the ocean and Haystack Rock! Another day, we'll take a little road trip East and go to Multnomah Falls (maybe hike to the top if she's interested), Hood River and Timberline Lodge. Hopefully it will be a clear day so we can actually see Mt. Hood. I still think it would be neat to take her there, whether it's clear or not. Then she can see what real mountains look like! Obviously we won't be dining or sleeping there due to everything being so astronomically overpriced! I also plan to take her to the Mission Theater one day (has to be during the day since she isn't 21), hopefully something good will be playing. There's so much out here that I want her to see! I can't wait. We will have so much fun. We're also going to have 'New Moon night' with Julia and Kyla one evening! Loads of fun all around.
I just got a text from Cora that her daughter was born today! Very exciting news, they decided not to find out the sex of the baby until it was born, so obviously- IT'S A GIRL! Little Lucy Lynn Hite! I can't wait to see pictures. Up until now, I had been referring to the baby as 'Lunah' because they had Lucy picked out for a girl, and Jonah picked out for a boy!
I caught up on Jaime's blog today. I love her blog. Her life seems so much more interesting than mine! This coming from the girl who is sitting in front of the computer drinking coffee and only took her pj's off once today to teach yoga at 5:45 am. Yea. Oh, and also Julia came over this morning before she went to work, so that makes my day a little more interesting, right?! Jaime is a great writer and right now she is in Tobago for a friend's wedding. How could that not be fun to read about?!
I think I'll go hop in the shower now. I am taking a spinning class before yoga tonight. A good 50% of my Wednesday night students take spinning and then head right next door to my class. Tonight, I will spin with them! I'm looking forward to it, because I love the spinning.
