don't say hubby

I have a lot of pet peeves. One of them that I've been noticing a lot lately is the usage of the word 'hubby'. I hate it! I told Keith that if we ever got married and he referred to himself as my hubby or me as his wifey, that divorce papers would be drawn up. I see this on facebook all the time. "I love my hubby", "Hubby and I are going on a date", "I miss my hubby", and the list goes on. And WHY is it that half the people I went to high school with are already married and/or reproducing?! I'd love to know the actual percentage. My brother and his wife got married and started a family young, as did my own parents, so I shouldn't be so judgmental about it. I just know that getting married and baby-making aren't at the top of my to-do list. Don't get me wrong, I do want these things. But not today. And not tomorrow either.

By the way, call me Britney Spears, 'cause I love Cheetos, y'all!

  1. I am reading through your old blog entries as blogs and blogging are my current obsession. I realize that it is a bit weird that I care about what you were doing/thinking 3 years ago but then again it does kind of read like a book. Kind of like waiting to watch a show until you have multiple seasons on dvd and can just veg out and enjoy. And yes I even started at the beginning and have been creeper-y about it not telling you or commenting on anything until now! But like Dr. Seuss said: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.” Anyway that brings me to the comment I was going to make on this post and that is that I also despise the word hubby. I can't help it. I would rather listen to nails on a chalkboard! Honestly! XOXO, Love you!
