yoga gems

Once we accept a bad thought it is difficult to remove it, for it enters very deeply. So be yourself, and then see yourself. This is the first step in creating amity toward yourself, and when you have amity toward yourself, naturally you have amity for all. A person who does not harm himself or herself is not going to harm anyone else, for in order to harm somebody, one has to harm himself first. Think of a matchstick. When the matchstick tries to ignite something,  first it must burn its own face; it is not going to burn others if it does not first burn itself.

I got this great book today called Yoga Gems. I highly recommend this book to anyone! The cover says, "A treasury of practical and spiritual wisdom from ancient and modern masters." So great! I bought it so that I can read a passage to my students while they rest in savasana. I'm sure I will also share passages on my blog as well.

I noticed I have a new follower... Ms. Christy Turnbow! Woohoo! Welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!

I got some more edamame from Whole Foods and I think I will cook it now. I'm pretty hungry. I still taste the coffee I had this morning in my mouth, even though I have eaten and brushed my teeth and drank water since I had it! How weird.

I have written like seven blogs today. That is ridiculous. It definitely makes up for the days I don't blog at all.

I'm going to watch another disc of Gilmore Girls while I eat my edamame. I keep wanting to type edamama! Edamame, edamama, who cares?!

Jenn called today to tell me that I would be so proud of my niece. She had an ultrasound today and Ellie was laying on her tummy with her legs over her head! She's a baby yogini! I can't wait to hold and kiss her!

Okay, I'm done now! I think! Maybe I will blog again later tonight! Or maybe I won't! We'll see! :)
xoxo,
