life is good

The lovely Erica Lin Sorensen has just bought a one way plane ticket to PDX! She is coming April 22, which is just over three weeks away. I wish it was one way because she is going to live here, but she is actually going to be going to Hawaii from here to live with her cousins. I'm so happy for her. She's been confused about what she wanted to do for a while, between school in Arkansas, going back to St. John, or going to Hawaii. I'm glad she made up her mind, and I'm glad it's so soon! And the best part is that the ticket was only $120 after taxes and fees. Dana, Mom, Aunt Carolyn, Cristena, Carley, Iffet, Whitney, take note! That is so cheap! Buy a ticket. Now.

Keith and I are watching a documentary on Deep Throat. Not the Watergate scandal, the porn. It's interesting.

Last night at the gym, Keith ran 3.7 miles in 30 minutes! I wish I could do that. I can't even run 3 miles in 30 minutes. Even at my peak of running, I ran an 11 minute mile. How sad! Then he lifted weights for 40 more minutes. We go to the gym together a lot. Last night, I did an hour of cardio and then I did some hip adductor and abductor stuff. Hopefully when I come back to Richmond again I will be really hot and skinny. And strong, because I've been trying to do a little more weight training! But not too much, I don't want to get bulky!

I'm really looking forward to taking YogaFit Rx at Hood River in August. It will be nice to meet some new people out here. I know lots of yoga teachers all over the east coast, but I don't know hardly any out here yet. YogaFit trainings seem to be a great way to network! Not to mention I am looking forward to four days of a restorative training AND Dana will be here to share it with me! She will be taking Level 4 and I think Hood River will be a wonderful place for her to take that training. Level 4 was my absolute favorite and I did it in Fort Lauderdale. The hotel wasn't that nice and it was humid and rainy. I think Hood River is going to be so awesome. It's only an hour away, so we will drive there Thursday morning and come back to Portland Sunday night. And the drive to get there is so beautiful. I actually drove right past the hotel on my way into Portland and it was right there on the river. So gorgeous. I can't wait! The whole training between the tuition and the books and hotel will be over $800 though. Ugh. Why can't money grow on trees?

Keith and I are getting lots of visitors this year. His dad will be here the first week in May, Cristena mentioned coming the last week in May, I'm hoping Carley will come this summer and my parents too, Whitney is planning to come in September and Keith's friends Rick and Erin are also coming in September. Yay visitors!

I'm going to get back to watching this movie.
xoxo,
